I set the Thanksgiving table today, ahead of time (before the kitchen work’s too intense). The weight of the plates and such helps pull wrinkles in the tablecloth out. A no-iron tablecloth- perfect!

A drought has been officially declared here in California, yet I post this picture on one of our (few) rainy days. Perhaps the ravines will yet indeed run with water! After all, God promises.
It really isn’t as satisfying as advertisers might claim, to accumulate more & more “stuff”. Seems like the best gifts are received through our relationships with others.
Also, isn’t it better to enjoy a small amount of organic veggies, served with love, than to eat a huge steak or fatty chicken, pumped up on steroids and chemicals to make it gain weight?!

I’m pretty amped on mega nutritional info, but most importantly, I must remember: God has supplied everything we need. I want to remember that He has given us the land (& not take it for granted).
