Check it out: Butternut Squash Soup, with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and curry, sweetened with a bit of apple.
Another crowd-pleaser: Our creamy Potato Swiss Soup. Also, the homemade French Onion Soup, broiled with croutons, melted Swiss and Parmesan cheese, is rather exceptional. (We use that French Onion Soup for our French Dips too; another winner.) 'Tis the season for warm soups, fresh and hot off the stove!

Join us for traditional or vegetarian lunches: Homemade soups, salads, pasta, and of course, sandwiches. Salad dressings and soups are made from scratch, the beef is oven-roasted; even the goodies are homemade. Popular lately: the "Mideastern" (with falafel and tahini dressing), the Chicken Salad with Caramelized Walnuts, and the Roast Beef and Blue Cheese on Baguette. Yes, we have all kinds of green salads, from classic Caesar to Spinach with Sweet n' Sour dressing. All with those homemade dressings. Yumm!
Located at The Del Monte Center, on San Pablo Avenue between Hilltop Mall and Old Town Pinole, The New Deli is a thriving local business, established in 1985. Open Monday through Friday 9 to 3 pm, and Saturdays 11 to 2pm.
